An experienced and client-focused Survey Project Manager is needed to lead land surveying initiatives for a growing geomatics team. This leadership role requires a licensed PLS with deep technical knowledge, proven project management skills, and a strong ability to foster client relationships. Ideal for a surveying professional ready to manage complex projects and mentor staff, this position offers the opportunity to influence strategy, drive growth, and deliver high-quality surveying services across diverse projects.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead surveying projects from scope development through delivery, including scheduling, fee development, resource allocation, and budgeting.

Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and supporting business development through proposals and networking.

Provide technical leadership on complex land surveying assignments, applying standard practices and developing innovative techniques as needed.

Manage and mentor project teams, ensuring communication, quality control, and timely completion of deliverables.

Participate in critical negotiations and resolve complex issues with sound judgment and professionalism.

Oversee project financials, including monitoring budgets, tracking progress, and supporting accounts receivable collections.

Contribute technical and management expertise to design and surveying work across projects of varying complexity.

Actively participate in professional organizations and support staff development through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Utilize Civil 3D, CAD, and/or MicroStation to support project documentation and deliverables.

Survey Project Manager Requirements:

- NC Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required, or Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) certification with ability to obtain PLS within 1 year.

- 4+ years of experience in surveying - boundary or construction staking.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation preferred.
