Surveying Project Manager/Staff Surveyor

About the Opportunity

A well‑established, multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Surveying Project Manager and Staff Surveyor to help its surveying practice across the NYC metro area. This is a high‑impact leadership role for an experienced survey professional who wants to oversee complex projects, and mentor teams.

You'll work on a wide range of high‑profile NYC development, infrastructure, and public‑sector projects, partnering closely with clients, internal leadership, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and lead survey project planning, execution, QA/QC, and delivery across multiple active projects
• Perform and draft field surveys; including boundary and topography surveys, plans and cross sections
• Perform research of records for deeds, maps, utility information
• Manage/Coordinate with survey staff, field crews, schedules, and project budgets
• Oversee preparation of survey plans, reports, legal descriptions, and CAD deliverables
• Mentor survey staff

What We're Looking For

• 5-10 years of professional surveying experience (field and office)
• Experience in project management
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson
• Licensed Professional Surveyor or ability to obtain licensure
• Experience with proposals, job estimates, contracts, budgets, and QA/QC
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and client satisfaction

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $155000.00/yr.

Full benefits package; medical, vision, dental, 401k, bonus and tuition/certification reimbursements.
