Oxford Solutions is working with a local engineering and surveying organization to hire a Survey Technician for an onsite, direct hire opportunity. This role supports a variety of land surveying projects and is ideal for someone with hands-on field experience who enjoys working outdoors and as part of a collaborative survey team.
Responsibilities
- Perform field surveying activities including construction stakeout, as-built surveys, utility line route surveys, topographic surveys, and property and boundary surveys
- Operate survey equipment such as GPS units and total stations
- Assist with data collection, measurements, and field documentation
- Support survey crews with layout, verification, and quality control of field data
- Travel locally to project sites and work overtime as project schedules require
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree is preferred
- 1 to 2 years' relevant experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with construction stakeout, as-built, topographic, utility, and boundary surveys
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established survey procedures
- Must be willing to work outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions
- Motivated team player willing to work overtime and travel locally as needed
