Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Technician to join our team. This position will assist Professional Surveyors with CAD production, survey research, boundary analysis, exhibit preparation, legal description preparation, and survey computations.Job Type: Full-timeDuties and Responsibilities Assisting Professional Surveyors with CAD production, survey research, boundary analysis, exhibit preparation, legal description preparation, and survey computationsProcessing raw field data through Trimble Business Center and Civil 3DPerform QA/QC checksCoordinate and work with field crews and other office staffEnsures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey serviceLead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalismRequired Experience Strong listening, writing, and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of exhibits and legal descriptions, plat preparation, and field crew prep.Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D for production activities.Ability to manage multiple tasks, support project coordination, and interact with other design services.Full use of Microsoft Office.Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in growth mode.Preferred Experience An Associate Degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related area of studySIT or CST Certification or ability to become a Professional SurveyorExperience drafting Wind, Solar, and Power Delivery projectsCoordinating activities with office personnel, including surveying technicians and engineering staffField experience searching for/recovering land survey monumentsAbility to travel and remain on a project site or other Westwood office for extended periods (must have the capability of self-funding the total amount of expenses until reimbursement can be disbursed)Ability to utilize survey field equipmentWestwood provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
