Job Title: Survey Technician
Job Description
The Survey Technician supports land surveying and construction projects by performing boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys while working closely with a crew chief or professional surveyor. This role uses advanced surveying equipment to collect accurate field data for commercial site development and other land development projects, primarily in and around Des Moines and across the region.

Work Environment
The role primarily supports commercial site development, residential subdivision, and land surveying projects across Iowa and into surrounding states. Typical assignments involve suburban commercial site plans and land development projects in and around Des Moines. You will work as part of a structured team that includes multiple professional engineers, licensed land surveyors, several field survey crews, and a professional landscape architect. Field work is performed outdoors on active construction and development sites using Trimble equipment, Robotic Total Stations, GPS instruments, and other standard survey tools. The organization maintains a collaborative, growth-oriented culture with recurring customers and opportunities to develop professionally, including company-paid certifications. Hours follow typical field crew schedules aligned with project and site requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
