Full‑Time/Regular.Position SummaryResponsible for completing the data processing phase of specific field survey projects, deed research, boundary computations, plat drafting and other related tasks.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesKnowledge of geomatics, surveying, and/or reality captureProficient with survey computationsExperience with Carlson Survey and/or Open Roads DesignerPerforms office computations necessary for completing task assignments, including QA/QC.Develop topographic base mapping (field to Finish Processing) through conventional survey and/or LiDARAnalyzes raw data for mathematical closure and geometric accuracyNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired SkillsMust successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screeningValid Driver's LicenseAble to pass Background CheckRequired ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentExtensive knowledge of field surveying techniques, including data collection, traverse adjustments, GNSS surveys, and construction stakeouts.Familiarity with third‑party software for data reduction and drafting, including AutoCAD, Carlson Survey, Microstation, StarNET, and/or Trimble Business CenterPreferred ExperienceCarlson Survey or Open roads Designer experienceKnowledge of network adjustments (StarNET)Boundary experienceNCDOT experienceWorking ConditionsWork is performed in a general office environment 95% of the time. It is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.Fieldwork is required 5% of the time, where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
