Responsibilities:
Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA, as-builts, easements, and subdivision surveys for public and private clients.
Operate and maintain various surveying instruments - such as GNSS receivers and robotic total stations - to measure and verify elevations, angles, and distances.
Clean, check and adjust survey instruments and equipment to ensure the accuracy of measurements.
Maintain a high standard of accuracy and productivity in all survey work.
Oversee surveying activities in the absence of the Survey Party Chief.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
A minimum of one year of survey instrument operation is required.
Valid NC Drivers license required with good driving record and ability to drive.
Practical knowledge of survey methods and procedures.
Ability to utilize or employ GPS, RTK, VRS, and robotic total station equipment.
Ability to interpret maps
Detail oriented with good communication skills
Physically able to walk rough terrain, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform field work in various weather conditions.
Occasional regional travel (approximately 20%) including some overnight stays
