Job Title: Survey Technician
Job Description
Looking to start a career within the Survey space? This Survey Technician position supports an active as-built survey effort on a large data center project near Ann Arbor, Michigan. You will focus on field data collection, documentation, and reporting of installed utilities and site infrastructure using Trimble survey equipment and a project-specific local control grid (RGK). You will work under the guidance of a licensed Professional Surveyor and operate primarily in a construction environment, independently managing daily tasks while collaborating with survey leads and construction teams. This is a 9-12 month project-based role with the potential for long-term opportunities and progression into a Crew Chief position.

Work Environment
This role is based on a large data center project in the Saline, Michigan area during a heavy construction phase. You will primarily work on-site, performing field surveys for 10-hour days, typically totaling 50-60 hours per week, with some Saturdays as needed. The work is outdoors in varying weather conditions and within an active construction environment that requires strict adherence to safety protocols. You will use Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and related survey instruments, as well as electronic data collection and transfer tools. A dedicated work truck is not provided for this project since the work is site-based; however, there is potential to receive a work truck if you advance into a Crew Chief role on future projects. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
