About being our Land Surveyor

As our Surveyor III, you will be a key contributor within a collaborative survey and geospatial team supporting complex projects and mentoring junior staff. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of surveying assignments while partnering closely with project surveyors, engineers, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality mapping and survey solutions.

Responsibility Highlights for our Surveyor III

• Support and collaborate with licensed surveyors, engineers, CAD staff, subcontractors, and agencies for final drawings, mapping, submittals, and specifications for approval. • Perform all aspects of land surveying, including research and analysis, title report review, right-of-way engineering, ALTA surveys, design surveys, topography, photogrammetry, LiDAR, Point Cloud processing, boundary analysis, and mapping. • Prepare legal descriptions, exhibits, right-of-way plan sheets, and records of survey. • Assist with the organization and coordination of projects involving a broad range of surveying, mapping, and construction-related assignments. • Understand client goals and business needs while helping build effective client relationships with public agencies, engineers, law firms, developers, architects, and private landowners. • Maintain and manage project file systems across local and wide-area networks. • Draft technical exhibits and prepare final deliverables. • Assist and support the Project Surveyor on a daily basis. • Prepare RFIs, reports, and project schedules. • Research and analyze boundary elements for retracement. • Perform survey calculations, analytical work, and field support calculations.

Minimum Qualifications to be our Surveyor III

5 years of surveying experience with a High School Diploma or GED, or a Bachelors degree in Geomatics or a related field with 2 years of surveying experience. LSIT Certification is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications for our Surveyor III

• Experience with one or more of the following software programs: Carlson, Trimble, TBC, MicroStation, InRoads, AutoCAD, Public mapping. • Public mapping experience, including subdivision maps, parcel maps, records of survey, legal descriptions, and technical exhibits. • Topographic design mapping experience. • Experience reading and interpreting deeds. • Knowledge of fundamental boundary survey principles.
