The Sustainability & Risk Management Administrator works within the Sustainability and Risk department to coordinate activities in support of sustainability and insurance programs on behalf of the Company. This role has a focus in applying principles of Risk Management to analyze Central Hudsons assets, earnings and risk information to prepare policies and reports. Risks can stem from a variety of sources including financial risks, legal liabilities, technology issues, accidents, and natural disasters. This role provides support for and maintains insurance relationships on behalf of the company. This role works closely with other departments within the Company to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and invoicing of financial transactions takes place as well as contributing to forecasting activities for the Company. This role supports the Companys Sustainability efforts including reducing the risk of climate change impacts, promoting alternative technologies to reduce greenhouse gas impacts, and driving change management efforts, as needed. The selected candidate will work across operational areas at the company and will assist with tracking ongoing and implementing emerging climate regulatory policies. What does a Sustainability & Risk Management Administrator do? Manages daily insurance and hedging activities and reports Supports the preparation of annual budgets Supports the preparation of monthly and annual financial forecasts Implements best practices in Risk and Sustainability Responsible for the compilation and analysis of data in the preparation of reports and filings with regulatory agencies and other outside constituencies Involved with Risk Management and Sustainability activities Ability to manage projects Assists with special projects as needed Track and act on implemented regulatory and emerging climate risk policies Supports corporate and regulatory sustainability reporting requirements Provides support for storm restoration effortsWhat does it take to be a Sustainability & Risk Management Administrator? Required: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in risk management, insurance, sustainability, or a closely related domain. In lieu of a bachelors degree, an associates degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years relevant work experience in risk management, insurance, sustainability, or a closely related domain. Strong analytical, quantitative, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new computer software programs quickly Ability to understand how environmental, social and business factors interconnect Ability to work individually or as a team (with internal team members or cross-functional teams) Ability to adapt to a variety of assignments and manage a number of projects in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment Valid drivers licensePreferred: Experience with Compliance programs Experience with Insurance and Risk programsApplications will be accepted until July 7, 2026.This position has a career path which allows for advancement opportunities within a job series.
