Description:
The Sustainment Project Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating and supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (ERHM-IO)-related sustainment activities. This includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:
• Providing general project management support for the EHRM-IO Sustainment Team
• Managing the activities of other team members as needed
• Developing project plans, timelines and resource plans for sustainment activities/efforts as assigned
• Evaluating risk, cost, schedule and performance related to sustainment activities/efforts
• Coordinating and leading various teams and workgroups to accomplish sustainment activities/efforts; engaging with stakeholders across the VA Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program
• Coordinating, developing and/or contributing to a wide range of sustainment-related products and deliverables
• Presenting sustainment-related products and deliverables across various settings and to various audiences
• Maintaining sustainment materials, meeting minutes and other briefing documents
• Reviewing deliverables and providing recommendations
Minimum Qualifications:
• 10+ years of professional work experience
• Experience managing Information Technology related projects
• Be well versed in life cycle and project management methodologies
• Experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress
• Be able to identify and mitigate risks
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline or 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with VA
• Experience supporting the Federal Government
• Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
