Job Summary: Under the direction of the Shop Supervisor, the Sweeper Operator is responsible for cleaning the pavement prior, during and after paving to ensure proper quality and housekeeping.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Visualize, fulfill, and implement the Clyde Companies Inc. (CCI) vision and core values within the Organization.
  • Responsible for operation and repair practices on sweepers.
  • Clean pavement prior to, during, and after paving to keep up with proper quality and housekeeping.
  • Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed.
  • Maintain and submit sweeping logs to necessary divisions/ agencies.
  • Maintain tools as required to do the job.
  • Maintain commercial driver''s license (CDL) and Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card.
  • Maintain HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements and Federal Clearance.
  • Operate forklift.
  • Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Individual Development (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electronics, and familiar with associated components
  • Knowledge of welding, cutting and fabrication

  • Develop knowledge of heavy equipment safety
