Overview
Join the Blue Devil Swim Club as a Swim Coach and inspire young swimmers to achieve their aquatic goals! In this energetic role, you will lead engaging swim practices, develop training plans, and foster a positive, motivating environment that encourages growth and confidence. We are located in Gurnee, IL and mostly practice out of Warren Township High School.
Hours would be in the evenings a few days a week and some weekends.
Duties
- Lead group practices, ensuring safety and proper technique at all times.
- Monitor swimmer progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust coaching strategies accordingly
- Enforce safety protocols, including lifeguard responsibilities, to maintain a secure environment for all participants
- Incorporate fun and engaging activities to motivate swimmers and promote a love for the sport
- Manage behavior and foster a respectful atmosphere among students of diverse ages and backgrounds
- Collaborate with other coaches to ensure same messaging across the club.
Qualifications
- Prior swim coach or swim lesson experience
- Background in swimming preferred
- Experience working with children
- Strong behavior management skills to create a positive learning environment
- Good communication with swimmers, parents and other coaches
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
