Job Summary: The UVAC Swim School is the premiere swim school in the Upper Valley. The swim instructor should expect to invest themselves in the learning of our philosophy and our teaching methods of skills progression. Must be a learner as well as a communicator while demonstrating a willingness to keep learning and honing your own teaching skills.

Pay Range:   Min $15.00  Mid 19.69  Max  $23.37

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Teaching swimming techniques, swimming strokes, and water safety to students with varying swimming abilities/ages.
• Assisting more experienced swimmers to enhance their swimming abilities.
• Assessing the progress of students and adjusting teaching programs accordingly.
• Monitoring students to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Implementing ground rules for each swim lesson.
• Planning swimming lessons that take into account students’ abilities and progressive development.
• Identifying incorrect swimming techniques and correcting students accordingly.
• Proper care of equipment
• Record keeping
• Communicating progress with parents
