POSITION: Swim Instructor LOCATION: Kids Zone Program - Pattengill/ Aqua-Tots SCHEDULE: June 22, 2026, - August 7, 2026 - Part Time, Afternoons Tuesday and Thursday SALARY: $15.15 - $17.02 per hour based on experience
JOB DESCRIPTION
Watch Kids Zone campers while in the pool at Aqua-tots.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 18 years of age Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or another nationally recognized lifeguard certification Must be responsible, respectful, alert, and mature.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Interact positively with children ages (5 years old and up) • Communicate respectfully with students parents and Kids Zone program staff • Attend initial water-safety orientation and subsequent in-service trainings • Enforce pool rules and responsibilities, identify potential accidents or hazards, and ensure the safety and welfare of swimmers • Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively, and in accordance with established emergency and accident management procedures • Administer First-AID/CPR/AED when needed • Communicate effectively with the Kids Zone and Aqua tots team • Be responsive to the instructions and directions of the r, Kids Zone Coordinator, Kids Zone staff, and other appropriate school administrators • Present a professional image and provide a positive role model in terms of personal habits, language, and conduct.
