Swim Instructors (Part-time)

 

The Y is a leading non-profit for strengthening community, and the nation’s longest provider of swim lessons to increase skill and safety in and around water. This position provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes.

 

Shifts Needed:

 

-  certified as swim lesson instructor and Lifeguard.

-  certified in – CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Basic First Aid

-  able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA Standards: swim 4 of

    the 6 strokes in good form.                      

-  YMCA Swim Instructor certified or equivalent certification.

 

Minimum age – 18 years old - with swimming experience

 

Rate of Pay:  $12 for certified Swin Instructors per hour to start

The candidate must accept and demonstrate the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks commensurate with the position requirements.

 

All positions require the ability to obtain PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprint and National Sex Offenders Registry Clearances.  If you do not have current (within six months) clearances the Y will help you obtain them.  Free clearances are based on a six-month retention.
