Swimming Pool and Spa Service Technician
Location: Myrtle Beach, SC 29579 Pay: $20.00 per hour Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Swimming Pool and Spa Service Technician to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair swimming pool and spa systems. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience working with pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems, plumbing components, and related equipment.
The ideal candidate will be able to troubleshoot equipment problems, complete repairs safely, and provide professional service at residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair swimming pool and spa systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and equipment-related problems.
Repair or replace pumps, filters, heaters, valves, motors, timers, controls, and other components.
Inspect and assess the condition of pool and spa equipment.
Evaluate water quality and identify conditions that may affect equipment performance.
Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment servicing.
Complete minor and major repairs on pool and spa equipment.
Test repaired equipment to confirm proper and safe operation.
Clearly document inspections, repairs, parts used, and recommended follow-up services.
Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment conditions and repair recommendations.
Maintain service tools, replacement parts, and assigned company vehicles.
Follow applicable safety procedures, manufacturer specifications, and pool codes.
Travel to assigned customer locations throughout the workday.
Qualifications
Previous experience servicing and repairing swimming pool and spa equipment is required.
Strong mechanical knowledge is required.
Experience with pumps, filters, heaters, motors, valves, plumbing, and automation systems is preferred.
Ability to diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate repairs.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Must have an acceptable driving record.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and repair equipment.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and complete service calls efficiently.
Dependable attendance and professional conduct are required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull tools, equipment, and replacement parts.
Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, and work in confined areas.
Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
Ability to safely perform physical repair work for extended periods.
