Swimwear Designer - Junior / Tween

We are seeking a creative and trend-driven Swimwear Designer (Junior & Tween) to join our growing design team. This role is ideal for a designer with experience in junior and children's swimwear who has a strong understanding of emerging fashion trends and the ability to translate junior/tween influences into commercially successful collections for the Big Girls market.

Working closely with a collaborative bi-coastal team, you will contribute throughout the design process—from trend research and concept development to print execution, technical design support, and seasonal product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify emerging fashion, color, print, and silhouette trends relevant to the children's swimwear market.
• Develop inspiration and mood boards to support seasonal concepts and product direction.
• Create original swimwear designs, CADs, and technical flats using Adobe Illustrator.
• Color and revise prints in Adobe Photoshop.
• Review and provide color, print, and engraving comments on strike-offs.
• Assist in maintaining and updating body libraries, tech flats, and design archives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, product development, and technical design teams to support the product development process.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners across both New York and Los Angeles offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field preferred.
• Experience designing children's, junior, or swimwear apparel, with exposure to both junior and Big Girls categories preferred.
• Strong understanding of junior/tween fashion trends and the ability to translate them into age-appropriate children's product.
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong eye for color, print, graphics, and trend interpretation.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-starter who takes initiative, asks thoughtful questions, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across a bi-coastal team.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a supportive, team-oriented culture.

Work Arrangement: Primarily On-Site

Salary: $85,000 to $100,000 dependent on experience
