Shift Differential: $2.00

Position Overview:

The CNC Operator I is responsible for operating CNC equipment safely and efficiently to produce quality parts that meet specifications. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a desire to grow as part of a high-performing manufacturing team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Start and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, and notify the lead or supervisor of any issues
  • Perform thorough first-part inspections to verify parts meet specifications before production continues
  • Meet job standard cycle times with minimal supervision
  • Identify production issues and communicate concerns to the supervisor or lead in a timely manner
  • Perform general machine shop duties as assigned
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and proper equipment usage
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Specification (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Ability to work independently and follow directions with minimal supervision
  • Strong focus and ability to stay attentive during repetitive tasks
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and good hand-eye coordination/manual dexterity
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Works well in a team environment with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude

Preferred Education, Certifications and Experience:

  • 1-3 years' experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience with MS applications
  • Strong skills and aptitude in math

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
