Our client is looking for a 2nd shift CNC Swiss Machinist to join their precision manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll operate and set up CNC lathe machines to produce high-quality parts according to exact specifications. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on lathe machining experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Pay range: $20-$32/hr. D.O.E.
2nd shift hours 3pm-1am(will train on 8-hour schedule for the 1st month then move to a 10-hour work schedule)
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes to perform drilling, boring, reaming, milling, and tapping operations
- Load bar feeders or manually load bar stock and castings
- Monitor machine operations and tool wear; make tooling adjustments as necessary
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges
- Submit completed parts for final inspection and complete necessary documentation
- Replace, reset, and sharpen tools as needed
- Maintain machine fluids and ensure cleanliness of equipment using 5S principles
- Collaborate with team members and assist less experienced operators when needed
- Follow all company safety protocols and report any issues to supervisors
