Swiss- CNC Programmer/Setup
Direct Report: Shift Supervisor

Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the CNC Programmer/ Setup person is responsible to write programs for operation of Star Swiss machines while adhering to all documented procedures, including safety procedures.
Job Requirements:
·A minimum of 5 years or more of operation experience with CNC Star Swiss machines
·Ability to write and download CNC Programs or modify existing programs.
·Ability to calculate speeds and feeds
·Ability to read and interpret prints and supporting documents
·Ability to use measuring instruments
·Ability to program and set up complex parts on CNC lathes
·Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
·Sense of urgency
·Great attitude
Responsibilities:
·Program, setup and ensure that operators are capable of making parts to print on CNC Star Swiss machines
·Develop and set up Tool requirements
·Suggest process improvements
·Develop and/or update Tool Sheets and Work Instructions
·Work with inspection department on improvements in inspection techniques
·Train Operators and be a resource for them on how to setup and run equipment
·Manufacture quality product to the customer specification
·Trouble shoot machine as needed
·Continually verifying and documenting product being produced.
·Operate each machine in an efficient and safe manner
·Report any safety concerns immediately to your supervisor
·Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
·Properly recording all labor and production activities into Global Shop
