Job Description

Job Title: Precision Manufacturing Specialist (Swiss CNC)

The Mission

We don’t just make parts; we solve geometric puzzles at a scale where a fingerprint is a mountain. As our Swiss CNC Specialist, you are the bridge between a digital blueprint and a physical masterpiece. You will own the process for high-complexity components, ensuring that every micron is accounted for and every cycle is optimized for perfection.

Core Responsibilities

  • The Orchestration: Perform full-spectrum setups on multi-axis Swiss machines (Citizen, Star or other Fanuc Controllers). You aren't just pushing buttons; you are timing the dance between the main and sub-spindles.

  • The Translation: Interpret complex GD&T blueprints and convert them into flawless machine movements. You will edit G-code at the control to "dial in" the process.

  • The Refinement: Select, preset, and install high-precision tooling. You’ll troubleshoot chatter, chip control, and thermal drift to maintain tight tolerances

  • The Stewardship: Oversee the lifecycle of a production run. From the first-article inspection to optimizing the feed rates for the 1,000th part, you ensure the integrity of the process.

Your Toolkit

  • Mechanical Intuition: You have a "feel" for the material, whether it’s medical-grade Titanium, 303 Stainless, or PEEK.

  • Technical Literacy: Proficiency with Swiss-style kinematics (guide bushings, sliding headstocks) and the math required to keep them running straight.

  • Metrology Mastery: Expert use of micrometers, optical comparators, and height gauges.

  • Problem-Solving DNA: When a part is out of spec, you don't just adjust the offset; you find the root cause.

Why This Role Matters

Swiss machining is the "Formula 1" of the lathe world. In this role, you aren’t just a "machine operator"—you are a technical lead responsible for the components that keep airplanes in the sky and surgical robots in the operating room.

Ideal Profile

"The successful candidate views a Swiss lathe not as a machine, but as a high-performance instrument that requires a steady hand and a sharp mind to play."
