    CAM: Mastercam

    Position Summary:
    We are seeking a Swiss CNC Programmer experienced with Star and Tsugami Swiss-type lathes to support the production of precision micro-machined components.

    This role is responsible for programming, setup, and optimization of Swiss machining operations producing complex small-diameter components from a wide range of materials including stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, brass, and engineering plastics.

    The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Mastercam Swiss programming, multi-axis Swiss machines with live tooling, and working within a quality-driven manufacturing environment such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.

    Typical Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Develop CNC programs using Mastercam Swiss for Star and Tsugami Swiss-type lathes
    • Set up and optimize Swiss turning centers with live tooling and sub-spindles
    • Program and run operations including:
      • turning
      • milling
      • drilling
      • tapping
      • threading
      • cross-drilling
    • Select tooling, feeds, speeds, and workholding strategies for efficient production
    • Troubleshoot machining issues including tool wear, chatter, and dimensional deviations
    • Perform first article inspections and in-process verification
    • Work from engineering drawings and GD&T specifications
    • Optimize programs to improve cycle time, tool life, and process repeatability
    • Support prototype development and new product introduction
    • Maintain documentation required for ISO9001 / AS9100 quality systems
    • Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve machining and tolerance challenge
    Equipment & Technology

    Machines may include:
    • Star Swiss CNC lathes
    • Tsugami Swiss CNC lathes
    • Multi-axis Swiss machines with:
      • live tooling
      • sub-spindle
      • guide bushing
      • bar feeders
    Software / Controls may include:
    • Mastercam (Swiss)
    • G-code programming
    • Fanuc-based controls
    • Inspection equipment including micrometers, comparators, and CMMs
    Required Skills & Experience
    • 5+ years of Swiss CNC programming and setup
    • Experience with Star and/or Tsugami Swiss machines
    • Strong Mastercam Swiss programming experience
    • Ability to machine small precision components
    • Experience machining materials such as:
      • stainless steel
      • titanium
      • aluminum
      • brass
      • plastics
    • Ability to read blueprints and GD&T
    • Experience with tight tolerance machining
    • Familiarity with ISO9001 or AS9100 manufacturing environments
