1st shift hours: 5:00 am or 5:30 am start.

The CNC Operator or CNC Set Up Operator is responsible for the efficient setup and operation of multi-axis CNC Lathe Machinery in order to run prototype jobs and production runs, in accordance to engineering drawings, using Magnet-Schultz of America’s advanced CNC Machinery.

· Set up, operate, CNC Lathe and prove out new programming.

· Read and understand G-Code

· Interpret mechanical blueprints as well as a variety of geometric and trigonometric principles.

· Transfer metric to inches

· Maintain close tolerances (within .0001)

· Have a full understanding of machine tool accuracies, fixture offsets, and tool offsets

· Knowledge of cutting tool feeds, speeds and tool life

· Experience in utilizing all of the standard inspection tools in order to check your work

· Conduct proper inspection of first piece run and in process parts

· Experience working with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls

· Experience working with aluminum and stainless materials

· Past experience working with any of the following machines: Mori Seiki, Eurotech, Nakamura or Swiss Star

Pay will depend on ability to set up.
