A day in your role
Plan each job by reviewing work orders, prints, materials, surface locations, and machining parameters; interpret and apply GD&T to set your approach.
Set up and run Star Swiss-type CNC lathes (automatic/CNC) to hold tight tolerances and deliver first-pass quality.
Install, adjust, and qualify tooling for turning, drilling, grooving, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations.
Load bar/stock and stage materials; confirm feeds, speeds, and offsets through first-article and in-process checks against international standards.
Maintain part conformity by measuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting; reprogram or adjust controls; sharpen/replace worn tools; follow quality procedures.
Keep equipment reliable with preventive maintenance and manufacturer-recommended care; resolve malfunctions quickly.
Document everything accurately in production and quality logs; work safely per plant procedures and regulations.
What you’ll bring
G-code programming ability for Swiss turning (Star experience preferred).
Strong conceptual thinking and process-improvement mindset.
Clear verbal communication and solid functional/technical aptitude.
Comfort with controls, instrumentation, tooling selection, and coordination.
Proficiency with CNC Tooling and CNC Programming; familiarity with AS9100 environments.
