The Switchboard Operator serves as the primary reception and information resource at the Humility Hall Reception Desk. This position provides professional customer service to visitors, residents, staff, contractors, and overnight guests while managing telephone calls, messages, visitor badges, guest keys, sign-in/out records, deliveries, and daily logs. The role also involves monitoring security and emergency systems, making public announcements, assisting with guest accommodations, coordinating with various departments, and completing administrative tasks and work orders in TELS. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, professional, attentive to detail, and able to communicate effectively while handling multiple responsibilities in a busy office environment. A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience and training, is required. Candidates must be willing to work evening and weekend shifts.
