Switcher Non CDL

JOB SUMMARY:   

• The Non-CDL Van Driveris responsible for safely and efficiently transporting hot parts to the Nissan Plant using company-owned Sprinter vans. This role requires strict adherence to safety guidelines, company policies, and all traffic regulations to ensure timely delivery of materials that support production operations. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Responsibilities:  

• Operate company Sprinter vans to deliver hot parts between designated locations and the Nissan Plant 

• Performs daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness 

• Follow all traffic laws, posted speed limits, and company driving policies 

• Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip records, and mileage reports 

• Participate in random drug and alcohol screenings per company policy 

• Ensure safe loading and unloading of parts, maintaining delivery accuracy and timeliness 

• Immediately report any mechanical issues, accidents, or delays to supervisor 

• Demonstrate professionalism and safe driving at all times, representing the company positively

QUALIFICATIONS:   

Education and/or experience:   

• Must be 21+ years old
• High School Diploma 

• Valid state Driver’s License 

• Minimum 2 years of driving experience preferred  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Basic knowledge of vehicle safety inspections (per/post trip) 
• Strong commitment to safety 
• Ability to follow detailed instructions 

 Physical requirements:   

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times 

• Ability to frequently enter/exit Sprinter Van 

• Ability to frequently bend, lift, push, pull, and reach during loading and unloading
