    Itinerant Autism Support Teacher

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with classroom teachers on specific teaching strategies following principals of Applied Behavior Analysis
    • Provide direct services to students, focusing on areas like academic skills, communication, social skills, and behavioral support
    • Able to work as a team member coordinating activities and curriculum
    • Implements instructional strategies that align with the students IEP and are developed following ABA
    • Supports generalization of skills across multiple environments
    • Proficient in data collection and analysis of to drive instruction
    • Provide social skills instruction
    • Demonstrates knowledge of adaptations, modifications, and accommodations for students with Autism to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
    • Utilize positive behavior support strategies to support the social-emotional development of students who exhibit behavioral challenges.
    • Adapts curriculum and plans activities to accommodate children with Autism
    • Willing to travel to provide educational services to students across multiple schools
    • Organize, maintain and communicate a weekly schedule
    • Provide professional development to buildings supporting on instructional strategies for students with Autism
    • Support development of IEP and specially designed instruction

    Qualifications:

    • Must hold or be eligible for State of Delaware Certification in Autism & Severe Disabilities
    • Ability to collaborate with staff and administrators
    • Experience working with students with Autism

    Required Certificate(s):

    • Delaware Advanced License
    • Delaware Continuing License
    • Delaware Initial License
