Job Details:
Full-time, in-person position (Daily hours are 8: 55-2: 55)
SY 26-27 - Institute Day August 11th and students begin on August 13th, and end date May 21st, 2027
Setting: Splitting time between two Elementary schools
Role Overview: A School Psychologist assists students with academic, social, and emotional well-being and works with students and families to promote student success. The School Psychologist is a critical member of the IEP team and is relied upon to provide insight and guidance to the team regarding student academic and behavioral functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Administering diagnostic and curriculum-based assessments
Using intelligence and academic performance testing to determine student diagnoses and recommendations for specialized services.
Observing students in various academic and social settings to gain insight and data into students' overall functioning in school
Providing consultative psychology services to parents and school staff as described in the IEP.
Qualifications:
Master' s Degree in School Psychology
Illinois Professional Educator Licensure (PEL) for School Psychologist
One year of full-time, supervised internship in a school setting
