Role Overview:Secondary Special Education Teacher for 26-27 SY High School We are seeking a special education teacher for Easton High School. This high school serves students in grades 9th-12th. This individual will provide services to students both inside the general education setting in more of a co-teaching role, as well as provide services outside the general education classroom based on areas of needs. Areas could include social/emotional/behavioral skills, reading skills, math skills. The caseload could be as many as 10 students, but will likely be fewer than 10 students.

Certification Requirements: Certified Special Education Teacher
Days per Week: 5 days a week

Number of Students on Caseload: Serving about 10
Services are/could be provided in both general education and outside of general ed, based on student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct/indirect instructional support in a positive, structured learning environment
Adapt teaching methods (e.G., multi-sensory techniques, repetition) to meet diverse needs
Develop and implement IEPs, collaborating with parents, administrators, and related service providers
Modify curricula and employ assistive technologies to promote academic, social-emotional, and functional growth
Teach socially acceptable behaviors using positive behavioral support systems
Monitor progress and communicate regularly with families to align priorities
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in special education or related field
Valid Maryland SPED Teaching License
Experience and Certification for HS age students
