Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week)

School Year: August 10th, 2026-May 26th, 2027
Caseloads: 12 students
Role Overview:
The Special Education Teacher for Elementary students, assessment, and program planning for special education students with more severe disabilities, or multiple disabilities, and emotional disturbance. They monitor and evaluate student progress and behavior, research and provide instructional materials, and serve as an informational resource for students, parents, and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct/indirect instructional support in a positive, structured learning environment
Adapt teaching methods (e.G., multi-sensory techniques, repetition) to meet diverse needs
Develop and implement IEPs, collaborating with parents, administrators, and related service providers
Modify curricula and employ assistive technologies to promote academic, social-emotional, and functional growth
Teach socially acceptable behaviors using positive behavioral support systems
Monitor progress and communicate regularly with families to align priorities
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Special Education or related field
Valid Colorado Special Education License
