System Integration / Test Engineer Chelmsford, MA Contract: $79.04/hr
Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Establishes function and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates, and derives requirements for test stability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.
Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validates system performance.
Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems.
Basic Minimum Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study or related professional level career experience) • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office products to generate status reports, project plans, and work instructions. • 5+ years of experience writing, editing, and supporting existing software codebase using LabVIEW. • 3+ years of experience writing, editing, and supporting existing software codebase using TestStand software. • 3+ years of experience in analyzing and resolving problems. • Experience in managing and prioritizing own workload that may consist of several tasks at once. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. • Experience in effectively working on teams. • Ability to work with minimal detail direction to deliver desired results. • Experience in working with and leading teams towards milestone completion.
Desired Qualifications:
• A minimum of 9 years of professional level career experience is preferred. • Proven success in implementing appropriate methods to measure electrical parameters typically required for components and subassemblies. • 5+ years of subject matter expertise in Radio Frequency or Microwave systems and subsystems. • 3+ years of success in developing multiple complex test programs with TestStand development environments. • Proven ability to research and specify components for test equipment design. • Proven ability to troubleshoot measurement issues and isolate problems down to test instrument, fixturing, software level, or unit under test. • Proficiency in generating assembly and block diagram sketches, parts lists, and other types of engineering documentation. • Proficiency in Corrective/Preventative action process and implementation. • Solid background in deriving test requirements from design or system level requirements. • Ability to identify and author required documentation to correct drawing to actual hardware discrepancies. • Proven collaborator with multidisciplinary teams. • Effective relationship builder across multiple organizations and disciplines. • Experience preparing charts and giving presentations outlining technical issues, solutions, or trade studies.
