Description
Senior System Administrator L3
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to support a mission-focused environment supporting critical government operations. This position requires a strong Linux systems administration background, experience with virtualization and automation technologies, and the ability to operate in secure enterprise environments.
Required Experience
Fifteen (15) years of experience as a System Administrator (SA)
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university required
Five (5) additional years of SA experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Required Certifications
Active Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M requirements, or ability to obtain within six (6) months from start date
Required Technical Skills
Linux system administration
Containerization technologies
Storage management
KVM virtualization
Automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and/or SALT
FreeIPA administration and support
Scripting experience using Bash, Perl, Python, or similar languages
SSP compliance and documentation support
STE/STN support experience
Cloud technologies and AWS experience
Clearance Requirement
Active security clearance required
Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based enterprise environments
Support virtualization, storage, and container platforms
Develop and maintain automation solutions for system deployment and configuration management
Support secure system operations in compliance with government security requirements
Assist with SSP documentation and compliance initiatives
Provide operational support for mission systems and secure communications infrastructure
Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to maintain system availability and performance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting classified or mission-critical government environments
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to work independently in fast-paced operational settings
Administrative experience supporting Windows Domain Controllers, Windows Server environments, and/or Microsoft Exchange is a plus
