Description:

Columbia Technology Partners is looking for a Systems Administrator to support the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance of IT systems across a dynamic environment. In this role, you'll help ensure systems are running smoothly, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and support both end users and internal teams. You'll work across a mix of technologies, including cloud platforms and both Linux and Windows systems, while contributing to system reliability, performance improvements, and overall IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support for the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT systems
  • Monitor system performance and respond to issues across servers, networks, storage, and endpoints
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at both Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (escalated support) levels
  • Assist users with system access, usage issues, and general IT support needs
  • Manage daily system operations, including configuration, upgrades, and patching
  • Communicate status updates and resolution details to internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Support hardware and dispatch-related issues through resolution
  • Analyze and resolve more complex technical problems, including escalated tickets
  • Optimize system performance and resource utilization; assist with capacity planning
  • Administer and maintain Linux and Windows environments
  • Configure and maintain network components and ensure overall system integrity
  • Implement improvements and enhancements to increase system reliability and performance

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills Required: Linux Administration, AWS/Cloud Experience, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, MongoDB
  • 10+ years of experience in Systems Administration or a similar role supporting large-scale IT environments
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
    • Additional experience may be considered in place of a degree
