About the Company: SelectOne is partnering with an established automotive organization in the Buffalo, NY area to recruit a Systems Administrator. The company operates across multiple locations and relies on its internal IT team to support daily operations, maintain technology infrastructure and ensure employees have the systems and tools needed to work effectively.
About the Role: The Systems Administrator will provide advanced technical support and hands-on systems administration across the organization. This position serves as an escalation point for Tier 1 support, resolving more complex technical issues involving Microsoft 365, Windows environments, networking and server infrastructure.
The role offers a mix of day-to-day troubleshooting, systems maintenance and opportunities to contribute to IT improvements and projects.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an escalation point for Tier 1 support, resolving complex hardware, software and account issues.
- Troubleshoot Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365 applications and network connectivity issues.
- Administer user accounts, groups and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Deploy and maintain endpoint policies, patches and security tools using RMM/MDM platforms.
- Support and troubleshoot Windows Server and VMware infrastructure.
- Identify recurring technical issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Assist with IT infrastructure maintenance, upgrades and system improvements.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration or a related technical role.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows environments and Active Directory/Entra ID.
- Working knowledge of networking, endpoint management and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows Server and virtualization technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and organizational skills.
Compensation: $65,000–$75,000 salary
