College Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the day-to-day operations regarding the College’s systems and software. This includes our Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), College Website, and other products that are part of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System at the College of Nursing. The College Systems Administrator is expected to have specialized knowledge about each of the systems and provide hands-on support to college colleagues, which includes training. This position reports to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and works closely with colleagues in Student Service offices (e.g., registration, records, admissions, bursar, financial aid), the Instructional Designer, and Academic programs (e.g., undergraduate, graduate). The College Systems Administrator is also expected to collaborate with Trinity Information Systems (TIS) on any processes requiring TIS support. The College Systems Administrator will ensure the reliability and security of our systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades as needed.

Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

· Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. In lieu of degree, 5-7 years direct experience in systems administration and information technology.

· This is an onsite position at Mount Carmel College of Nursing

· Experience: 5-7 years relevant work experience, Ellucian Saas HIGHLY preferred

· Effective Communication Skills

· Possess well developed skills in providing systems administration, technical support, and training

· Ability to work collaboratively or independently, demonstrate initiative; capable of prioritizing and managing own workload and work with minimum supervision – demonstrating accountability

· Strong organizational skills

· Proficiency in SQL databases, SAAS software, information systems, and integrations, Ellucian Saas HIGHLY preferred

· Preferred but not required: Product Implementation Experience

· Be the subject matter expert on all campus Student Information Systems (SIS) IT.

· Plan and execute software updates, patches, and new feature implementation, including testing changes to ensure functionality.

· Oversee the operation and maintenance of the SIS, ensuring it runs efficiently and effectively.

· Collaborate with colleagues to design efficient business processes which utilize campus systems.

· Designs complex data queries based on identified inquiries/needs including extracting and validating requested data.

· Train colleagues regarding campus systems as relevant to their roles.

· Serve as back-up to the Instructional Designer for questions and problems regarding the Learning Management System (LMS).

· Implement new systems as needed, including writing integrations.

· Work closely with Trinity Information Systems (TIS).

· Identify and resolve issues related to system performance, user access, and data integrity.

· Respond to relevant helpline tickets and provide solutions.

· Manage permissions, security protocols, and data governance to protect sensitive information.

· Strictly adhere to all Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requirements.

· Maintain thorough documentation of system processes, user guides, and training materials.

Other Job Responsibilities

· Participates in College Assembly.

· Serves on Colleges committees as assigned.

· Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing.
