Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain communications by:
Meeting with supervisor and/or District staff, e.g., vendors, District needs.
Being accessible via District communication devices.
Assessing, prioritizing and managing Help Desk tickets.
Provide network support by:
Installing and supporting Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) equipment.
Testing for server hardware and software application compatibility.
Setting up and administering remote access.
Testing and deploying new desktop operating systems.
Troubleshooting and supporting network cabling.
Implementing network management tools.
Planning and implementing assigned software and hardware upgrade projects.
Provide wireless support by:
Installing and maintaining wireless network, access points, and/or central controllers.
Administering wireless security.
Planning and implementing assigned software and hardware upgrade projects.
Provide desktop and mobile device support by:
Acting as second level support.
Creating and managing computer images in a complex network with multiple software applications.
Troubleshooting and administrating many software applications used across the organization.
Implementing large scale equipment replacement cycles.
Planning and implementing assigned software and hardware upgrade projects.
Provide server support by:
Assessing requirements for server applications.
Installing server applications.
Planning and implementing assigned software and hardware upgrade projects.
Provide services to the District by:
Ensuring completed tasks meet District standards.
Performing other tasks as assigned.
