Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract with a client in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise DC infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
Rate Range: $34/Hour to $37/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
System Administrator Job Responsibilities include:
Provide L2+ support for enterprise Data Center infrastructure, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Manage full server lifecycle (build, patch, upgrade, migrate, and decommission) across physical and virtual environments.
Handle incidents, alerts, change requests, and perform RCA to ensure system stability and uptime.
Administer SAN storage and present storage to virtual and physical servers.
Perform patch management using Symantec Altiris and Satellite tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve complex issues and major incidents.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
6-8 years of experience in Data Center operations or infrastructure support.
Strong expertise in Linux/Unix (preferably RedHat) with hands-on server management and troubleshooting experience.
Proven experience managing enterprise DC environments, including SAN storage, patching tools (Altiris), and incident management.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $37.00 per hour
