Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure & Data Center Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating system installation, data center operations, networking, virtualization, and server hardware provisioning. This role requires strong Linux administration and scripting skills, along with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining GPU/CPU infrastructure. The candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across teams to resolve technical challenges efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure Windows Server, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
  • Manage data center operations and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Deploy and maintain virtualization technologies across platforms.
  • Handle networking tasks, including rack setup, cabling, and deployment of Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment.
  • Provision and configure Client and AMD servers, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
  • Perform hardware troubleshooting, testing, and quality assurance for server components.
  • Resolve hardware issues professionally via trouble ticketing systems (e.g., GitLab).
  • Maintain cabling infrastructure, including port mapping and cable type identification.
  • Administer Linux systems, including scripting for automation and optimization.
  • Support web server and database installations (preferred but not required).
  • Conduct basic lab administration and hands-on lab activities.
  • Manage asset tracking and ticket handling within GitLab.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with executives, customers, and partners, navigating potential roadblocks.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Security, or a related field (strongly preferred).
  • Linux administration and scripting expertise.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and Unix OS installation.
  • Hands-on experience in data center operations and server hardware provisioning (Client & AMD).
  • Strong knowledge of networking, including Layer 2 networking, cabling, and port mapping.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of GPU/CPU infrastructure and performance optimization.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems (e.g., GitLab).
  • Ability to multitask, learn quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with RAID levels.
  • Knowledge of web server and database installation.
  • Prior exposure to multi-stakeholder management and executive communication.
