    Description

    What You Will Do: As a System Administrator Level 4 at Independent Software, you will support mission-critical IT systems in highly secure, high-availability environments. You will work across Linux and Windows platforms to ensure systems are secure, stable, and operating at peak performance.In this role, you will lead troubleshooting efforts, support Desktop Services operations, and manage system configurations across enterprise infrastructure. You will collaborate with engineers, ISSOs, and program leadership to maintain compliance, resolve complex issues, and ensure reliable system operations in classified environments.Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support for system issues across client, server, storage, and network environments
    • Configure, manage, and maintain Linux and Windows operating systems
    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability
    • Perform account management and support user access to IT systems
    • Apply patches, conduct vulnerability scans, and support system security compliance
    • Support configuration management and system changes in coordination with ISSO and leadership
    • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure and applications
    • Support Desktop Services environments, including VDI and thin client technologies
    • Communicate system status and provide updates to stakeholders
    Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • Strong experience with Linux and Windows system administration
    • Advanced troubleshooting across enterprise IT environments
    • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes
    • Knowledge of networking, storage, and system security practices
    • Familiarity with patching, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, classified environment
    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
    • 20+ years of System Administrator experience on similar programs
    • 8+ years supporting IT Service Management (ITSM)
    Certifications: 
    • Active DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level III certification (required to start)
    • ITIL v4 Certification
    • OS Certification
    Clearance Requirement:
    • Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
