  • Implement and maintain Horizon security configurations including SSL/TLS, two-factor authentication, and network policies
  • Monitor infrastructure health and performance using Horizon monitoring tools and VMware vROps
  • Manage user entitlements, group policies, and role-based access control (RBAC) within Horizon
  • Collaborate with network and security teams on firewall rules, DNS, and load balancer configurations
  • Produce documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and handover materials
  • Support end-users and internal IT teams with escalated VDI-related issues

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3 6 years of system administration experience with a focus on VDI/virtual desktop environments
  • Hands-on implementation and management experience with Omnissa Horizon (v7.x, 8.x, or later)
  • Strong working knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
  • Experience deploying and configuring Unified Access Gateway (UAG) and Connection Servers
  • Proficiency with Horizon desktop pools, App Volumes, and Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM)
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server environments
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VLANs, load balancing, firewall rules
  • Experience with SSL certificates management and Horizon security hardening

Nice to Have
  • VMware Certified Professional Desktop and Mobility (VCP-DTM) or equivalent certification
  • Experience with VMware NSX or NSX-T networking
  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted Horizon deployments (Azure VMware Solution, AWS SDDC)
  • Exposure to Workspace ONE / Unified Endpoint Management (UEM)
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) for automation of Horizon management tasks
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as VMware vROps, Lakeside SysTrack, or ControlUp

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • VMware or Omnissa certifications strongly preferred (VCP-DTM, VCAP-DTM, or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
Availability to start immediately upon contract execution
