We are currently seeking a full-time System Administrator to join our team. This is a salaried position with benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement options. The System Administrator will report directly to the IT Manager and will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's computer systems and networks.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by employees
- Install and configure software and hardware, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring data security and access control
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Conduct routine maintenance and updates on all systems and equipment
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and make recommendations for system improvements
- Collaborate with IT team to develop and implement IT policies and procedures
- Train and support employees on proper use of technology and software
- Document all system configurations and changes for future reference
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
