Job Description:

We Are Seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to provide technical support, administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications and related infrastructure. This role will support applications across Windows and Linux environments while contributing to system implementations, application changes, infrastructure initiatives, security remediation, and technical solution development.

The Systems Analyst will be responsible for installing and configuring application components, gathering and documenting technical requirements, evaluating solution options, and recommending approaches for both new initiatives and ongoing system enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, extensive experience with Windows and Linux environments, cloud infrastructure, networking, application monitoring, security, and enterprise application support.

This position requires significant collaboration with vendors, customers, developers, infrastructure teams, and other technical stakeholders to ensure application changes, projects, and operational activities are completed effectively and within established timelines.

Responsibilities:

·         Install, configure, maintain, and support systems and application components across Windows and Linux environments.

·         Administer and support COTS applications and related infrastructure throughout their operational lifecycle.

·         Configure and maintain SaaS applications and supporting technologies as required.

·         Gather, analyze, document, and validate technical and business requirements for application changes and new initiatives.

·         Research available technical approaches and solutions, evaluate alternatives, and present recommendations to stakeholders.

·         Analyze application and infrastructure issues and develop solutions that address technical, operational, and business requirements.

·         Support application implementations, upgrades, configuration changes, enhancements, and other system lifecycle activities.

·         Implement and configure applications within cloud infrastructure environments.

·         Support cloud services, containerized workloads, infrastructure-as-code initiatives, and related deployment activities.

·         Monitor application and infrastructure performance using enterprise monitoring and diagnostic tools.

·         Troubleshoot application, server, network, connectivity, and infrastructure issues across Windows and Linux environments.

·         Configure and support application servers and web technologies, including IIS and Tomcat.

·         Support database connectivity and application-related database administration activities using SQL Server tools.

·         Develop and maintain system architecture diagrams, technical documentation, configuration records, and support procedures.

·         Support enterprise networking components and concepts, including LAN/WAN environments, firewalls, connectivity, and related infrastructure.

·         Configure and troubleshoot authentication and single sign-on solutions using technologies such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID.

·         Use scripting and automation technologies to support system administration, troubleshooting, configuration, and operational activities.

·         Support application deployments, work tracking, and development-related processes using appropriate DevOps tools.

·         Identify, investigate, and remediate application and infrastructure vulnerabilities in accordance with applicable security requirements and standards.

·         Apply appropriate security practices to applications, infrastructure, authentication, networking, and system configurations.

·         Collaborate closely with vendors, customers, developers, infrastructure teams, security teams, and other technical groups.

·         Provide technical analysis and support for system changes, enhancements, implementations, and ongoing operational needs.

·         Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance system reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.

·         Develop clear technical documentation and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills

·         5–7+ years of experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting systems and application components across Windows and Linux environments.

·         5–7+ years of experience gathering and documenting requirements, researching solution alternatives, evaluating options, and developing technical recommendations.

·         5–7+ years of experience with enterprise systems and technologies including:

·         Windows Server 2016 or later

·         Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.0 or later

·         Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform

·         Microsoft IIS

·         Apache Tomcat

·         Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

·         Dynatrace or comparable application and infrastructure monitoring/debugging tools

·         XML

·         PowerShell

·         Azure DevOps or comparable DevOps platforms

·         Microsoft Visio or comparable diagramming tools

·         SSO technologies including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID

·         LAN/WAN networking

·         Network architecture

·         Firewalls

·         IoT technologies

·         5–7+ years of experience troubleshooting and supporting Windows and Linux operating systems, application infrastructure, monitoring platforms, networks, firewalls, and enterprise applications.

·         5–7+ years of experience developing and interpreting system architecture diagrams and technical documentation.

·         5–7+ years of experience identifying and remediating application, server, infrastructure, and security vulnerabilities.

·         3–5+ years of experience implementing and configuring applications within Azure cloud environments.

·         3–5+ years of experience working with Azure services, cloud infrastructure, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).

·         Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

·         Strong understanding of application and infrastructure architecture.

·         Ability to evaluate complex technical issues and develop practical, sustainable solutions.

·         Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors, customers, and cross-functional technical teams.

·         Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

·         Experience supporting commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) enterprise applications.

·         Experience supporting SaaS application configuration and administration.

·         Experience with cloud-based application deployments and modernization initiatives.

·         Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management.

·         Experience working with enterprise security standards, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening.

·         Experience developing technical architecture diagrams using Visio or comparable tools.

·         Experience supporting application integrations and authentication using SAML, OAuth, or OpenID.

·         Experience with performance monitoring, application diagnostics, and root-cause analysis.
