Duties include developing and implementing information system applications, hardware, and software for meter reading systems, as well as other highly technical systems such as advanced communications applications. The position requires thorough and up-to-date knowledge of various computer software and hardware. Interactions with members, colleagues, and the general public are conducted in a courteous and professional manner across all NEC activities. Additionally, the individual keeps the IT Director informed by submitting daily reports on routine operations and the progress of special projects and initiatives. Essential Job FunctionsEnhances the efficiency of the Cooperative by designing, developing, and implementing new software applications to increase productivity based on use-cases.Develops and implements in-house software applications and enhancements for existing applications to improve efficiency of the Cooperative by evaluating existing software applications and work processes.Keeps the security level of the Cooperative at a high level by designing and performing network and server security audits.Works with department managers to identify and resolve system issues by creating systems or enhancing current systems.Ensures systems continuity by creating and maintaining documentation as it relates to system configurations, processes, and service records, including use-case diagrams.Minimum QualificationsAssociate degree in CIS or related field, 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education, experience and certifications.
