Job description:

Protech Staffing is currently assisting a growing manufacturing company in Tracy, CA, with the direct hire search for an experienced System Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced production environment where technology, automation, and operational efficiency play a critical role in day-to-day success. The System Analyst will support manufacturing and production systems by troubleshooting equipment issues, assisting with automation systems, and partnering closely with Maintenance, Operations, and IT teams. This role requires a hands-on professional who enjoys working directly within a manufacturing environment to identify and resolve system-related issues, minimize downtime, and improve overall system performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting equipment and system issues Work with Maintenance and Operations teams to resolve downtime events Read and interpret PLCs, electrical diagrams, and system drawings Assist with installation, testing, and startup of equipment Perform basic root cause analysis on system or equipment failures Support preventative maintenance and system inspections Document issues and assist with system improvements Work with technical teams to support automation and controls systems

Requirements:
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Basic understanding of electrical systems and equipment Ability to read technical diagrams (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or network) Familiarity with PLC systems or automation equipment Basic networking knowledge (IP address, subnet, gateway) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced environment Good communication skills

Helpful Qualifications:
Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs Experience with SCADA or HMI systems (Ignition a plus) Robotics or automation experience Industrial networking knowledge (Ethernet/IP, OPC, ControlNet) SQL or database exposure Experience in food manufacturing or production environments Schedule & Environment Manufacturing plant environment Schedule may vary (some flexibility required) May include occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call support
