    Description

    The Technical Team Leader is responsible for managing a cross-functional team focused on the definition and development of next-generation propulsion systems.

    They will be accountable for the technical development and refinement of the propulsion system of reference. Lead risk management and issue resolution with internal counterparts expertise network and supplier team. Lead cross-functional team members to support the V-development process through simulation activities. Interface with engine controls, transmission, hardware, vehicle platform, powertrain synthesis, and other cross-functional teams. Lead the lessons learned of issues until the appropriate update of standards, tools, definition, and methodologies occur. Communicate regularly through oral presentations and written reports to Chief Engineers, COEs, Component Engineers, and others, including Propulsion Systems management.

     

    Basic Qualifications

    Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 1 year of experience in product development, preferably in the automotive area, simulating ICE, internal combustion engine, hybrid, and/or electrified propulsion systems. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    Thorough knowledge of vehicle Propulsion Systems, including transmissions, axles, drivelines, batteries, and electric motors. Thorough knowledge of commercial simulation, coding SW, including but not limited to MATLAB, Simulink, GT Suite, or AMESim. Thorough knowledge of the vehicle system design process. Thorough knowledge in the disciplines of hybrid control strategies or energy management optimization. Thorough knowledge in the disciplines of fluid dynamics and heat transfer. Thorough knowledge of commercial codes, including but not limited to MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and Simulink coder. General knowledge of commercial CAD packages, including NX and Teamcenter.
