System Improvement Coordinator for County Behavioral Health Board
About the Role
We're seeking a System Improvement Coordinator to drive meaningful change across our behavioral health system. In this role, you'll lead initiatives that improve service delivery, strengthen the workforce, and enhance client outcomes through data-driven and evidence-informed strategies.
You'll collaborate with Stark County's full treatment continuum of providers, community partners, and internal teams to advance system-wide improvements, with a strong focus on workforce development and trauma-responsive care.
What You'll Do
- Lead initiatives to improve behavioral health system performance, efficiency, and client experience
- Develop and implement workforce strategies related to recruitment, retention, engagement, and professional development
- Promote a culture of inclusion, wellness, and trauma-responsive care across the system
- Support implementation of trauma-informed practices that benefit both clients and staff
- Analyze system data and provider reports to identify trends and recommend improvements
- Facilitate meetings, trainings, and collaborative efforts with providers and stakeholders
- Research and implement evidence-based and evidence-informed best practices
- Identify service gaps and partner with coalitions to develop solutions
- Oversee non-specialized programs across the continuum of care (Priority Areas 3–5)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and providers
- Represent the organization at community events, committees, and trainings
What You Bring
Required
- Master's degree in Human Services or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in behavioral health program administration
- Dependent clinical licensure
Preferred
- Experience in system-level improvement or oversight
- Project management experience
- Independent clinical licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral health systems and OhioMHAS regulations
- Experience working across systems (education, justice, developmental disabilities, etc.)
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable improvements
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital tools
- Passion for driving system-level change and improving client outcomes
Work Environment & Expectations
- Primarily office-based with some travel required
- Occasional evening or extended hours during peak periods
- Active participation in meetings, events, and trainings
