About the role
The Service Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing the technical maintenance and repairs of systems and equipment within the scope of the contract. This includes troubleshooting and ensuring operational functionality of IT systems and related equipment.
What you'll do
Provide qualified personnel to support the maintenance of Motorola Trunked and Conventional radio system core hardware, network devices, and associated components.
Ensure staff can perform Moto-patching of equipment, devices, and network components to maintain optimal system functionality.
Maintain RF antenna systems across various frequencies and power levels, including components such as:
Transmit combiners, receive multi-couplers, duplexers, pass and reject filters, diplexers, and precision-tuned filter assemblies.
Use of test equipment, including Vector Network Analyzers, return loss bridges, tracking generators with spectrum analyzers, antenna analyzers, and power meters.
Evaluate and verify that all equipment meets or exceeds the manufacturer’s minimum performance standards, ensuring optimal talk-in and talk-out coverage in designated service areas.
Conduct a comprehensive inventory of all systems, document components and devices, and maintain performance logs. Ensure the completion of site binders containing:
Site layouts and service entities for all equipment.
Wiring diagrams and network references.
Descriptions of service area sites for offline reference during mission-critical operations.
Identify and report any performance deviations or operational concerns to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for further assessment, corrective actions, or enhancements based on the impact on operational missions.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in system maintenance and technical troubleshooting.
Certification in related IT fields (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco).
Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with government contracting or large-scale enterprise environments is a plus.
