Summary:

We are looking for a System Network Administrator to support the RPA-SOC contract, provides capability for squadron level mission planning, airspace coordination, tasking/targeting updates, threat warning, data archival and retrieval, establishing and maintaining situational awareness, video, and data dissemination in support of mission execution, intelligence, weather administration and communications. This position will provide system administration for associated system networks.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure proper configuration of network equipment to include but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, crypto and other communications equipment necessary for the successful operation of the system enterprise
  • Conduct troubleshooting and maintenance of Audio MLS
  • Interface directly with Air Force, DoD, and other contractor communication maintenance personnel for the GCS, Unified Video Distribution System, and long-haul communication support for system enterprise connectivity
  • Comply with DoD, AF, and IC computer/network security protocols and advise the appropriate IA Officer whenever unauthorized hardware/software is detected on supported equipment
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and maintain RPA-SOC computer and network systems including troubleshooting LAN/WAN communications, firewalls, operations support for Microsoft Windows operating systems, and networks
  • Administration of network security infrastructure systems
  • Administration of checkpoint firewalls and other security systems
  • Coordinate system updates with administrators to ensure security vulnerabilities and risk remain as low as possible
  • Establish baselines, provide metrics and regular reporting as directed
  • Respond to alerts and take corrective action; provide root cause analysis and suggest improvements
  • Maintain appropriate logs, databases and history to perform trending analysis and take proactive steps to ensure the proper operation of systems
  • Maintain appropriate tools to assist in the execution of duties
  • Maintain appropriate and current documentation of network
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support
  • Comprehensive knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software
  • Comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications
  • Ability to analyze and suggest recommended improvements to the industrial control system programs and systems to meet industry standards and best practices
  • Strong expertise in configuring and managing network devices from various vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
  • Familiarity with network security best practices and hands-on experience with firewalls and IDS/IPS systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively

Minimum Qualifications:

  • DOD 8140/8570.01 Certification (i.e., CompTIA Security+)

  • Experience as a System Administrator or Network Administrator (or a similar role)

  • Experience with maintaining essential IT and OT network operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, and workstations

  • Familiarity with security systems, including security groups, group policy, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentications systems, log management, and content filtering         

  • Must have an active Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to upgrade to Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ are highly preferred
