Job Details

System Resiliency & System Safety Engineer

Federal Government Project

We are seeking highly skilled engineers with deep expertise in System Resiliency, System Safety, and Failure Analysis to support a cutting-edge Federal Government initiative focused on mission-critical aerospace and defense systems.

This role is ideal for candidates who have worked within highly regulated, high-availability environments where reliability, fault tolerance, and system survivability are essential. Candidates with experience supporting aerospace, aviation, defense, or other mission-critical environments are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze and improve resiliency of complex mission-critical systems
Perform system safety assessments and failure mode analysis (FMEA/FMECA)
Evaluate how systems fail, degrade, and recover under adverse conditions
Support reliability engineering and fault-tolerant architecture initiatives
Develop and apply mathematical models to predict system behavior, reliability, and operational risk
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve system robustness and survivability
Identify single points of failure and recommend mitigation strategies
Support root cause investigations and corrective action planning
Contribute to system validation, testing, and operational readiness activities

Desired Background
Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), System Resiliency, or Reliability Engineering
Experience understanding and modeling system failures, fault propagation, and recovery mechanisms
Hands-on experience with:
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA/FMECA)
Reliability Engineering
System Safety Engineering
Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
Hazard Analysis
Mathematical modeling or simulation experience highly preferred
Experience within aerospace, aviation, defense, or other highly regulated mission-critical industries
FAA experience or familiarity with FAA-regulated systems/environments is highly preferred
Prior experience supporting Federal Government or DoD-related programs preferred

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work within highly technical and collaborative engineering environments
MUST be a U.S. Citizen
Active security clearance is a plus, but not required for all openings
